Originally from Andover, Minnesota, Alex Van Krevelen brings extensive coaching experience and a proven track record of building successful programs. He competed collegiately at Rochester Community and Technical College and has since established himself as one of the top high school coaches in the state.
AVK serves as the Head Wrestling Coach at Saint John's University and was the head coach at Shakopee High School from 2021–2026. During his time at Shakopee, he compiled an impressive 133-20 dual meet record while leading the program to four conference championships, four state tournament appearances, two state runner-up finishes, and two third-place state finishes.
For his leadership and success, AVK was named Section 6AAA Coach of the Year four times. His experience developing athletes and building championship-level teams brings a high standard of competition, accountability, and mentorship to the wrestling room.
